Pasta
Can of Campbell's Spaghettios
Bowl of Campbell's Spaghettios

I was craving something easy to make that was soupy and tomatoey, so when I went to the grocery store I decided to try the SpaghettiOs that I saw. I thought I remembered disliking the meatballs in the normal kind (although I haven't had SpaghettiOs in years), so I tried the ones with sliced Franks.

I warmed the SpaghettiOs in the microwave, and overall, it tasted OK, as it halted my craving for something soupy and tomatoey. The tomato sauce was kind of sweet & watery, but it didn't taste that bad. The O's (pasta) were very soft, as expected, and they were OK, as well. However, I did not like the franks at all. The franks didn't really taste like anything and were just chewy discs that didn't belong. I ended up not even being able to eat the franks and threw them away.

Pizza Hut Sausage Italiano Pasta

We ordered some Sausage Italiano Pasta as carryout from Pizza Hut.

The pasta was not very sweet, which is what I really liked about it. I don't like sweet pastas, and I have a hard time finding pasta sauces that aren't sweet. I've tried the 'meaty marinara' pasta from Pizza Hut before, and that was disgustingly sweet, so I was very happy that this was not the case with the sausage italiano pasta.

I liked the sausage chunks in the pasta, as the savory taste of sausage was perfect with the pasta. I also really enjoyed the melted cheese. However, there was also ground beef in the pasta, and the texture of the ground beef didn't really go so well with it.

This is probably my favorite type of pasta from Pizza Hut, so I don't like that they don't have a family size portion of this pasta, and they only have it in individual size. I also don't like that when they have a pasta deal, they don't let us apply the pasta deal to sausage italiano pasta. :-(

But anyway... overall, the pasta was pretty good. If they took out the ground beef from the pasta and maybe added more cheese, then I think it would be perfect.

Firebirds Grilled Tenderloin Salad

I went to Firebirds Wood Fired Grill for dinner.

The free bread that came with our meal was a soft, warm, and tasty white bread. I ate the bread plain, and it was very good.

I ordered a Grilled Tenderloin Salad and asked for dressing on the side & no bleu cheese crumbles because I don't like my salad over-dressed, and I don't like the taste of bleu cheese. I also asked for the grilled tenderloin to be cooked medium. The steak came out more pink than most other places, which I was actually OK with me, since it was nice, tender, and juicy. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing was nice and sweet, and it went really well with the salad. Overall, I really loved the salad.

Firebirds Chicken Pasta

The Chicken Pasta with Chile Asiago cream sauce had a nice creamy texture. It was just a little bit spicy, which was nice, and the cream sauce wasn't as heavy as other pastas I have had, but it was still pretty filling. The pasta wasn't overcooked, and the bacon bits went well with the pasta, although the bacon did make the pasta a little bit on the salty side.
