Can of Progresso Heart Healthy Roasted Chicken Noodle Soup
Progresso Heart Healthy Roasted Chicken Noodle Soup

The last time I had a chicken noodle soup was several years ago, but I tried some of the Progresso Heart Healthy Chicken Noodle Soup since I was sick.

The taste of the soup was OK -- it was salty, but it didn't seem as overwhelmingly salty as some other soups. Both the celery and carrots in the soup seemed unnaturally soft, and they felt like they just dissolved in my mouth. The noodles were OK and didn't dissolve right away. There weren't a lot of chicken chunks, but I didn't really care for them, anyway. Overall, it just tasted like an average chicken noodle soup.

Kung Pao Chicken Lunch Special

I ordered a Kung Pao Chicken Special to-go from the China Joy restaurant in Carefree, AZ during their lunch hours (11:30 am - 2:30 pm). When I ordered over the phone, the woman that answered stated the food would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I got to China Joy about 20 minutes after ordering and the woman at the counter said she thought I had forgotten to pick up the food, which was kind of annoying.

Anyway, when I ate the Kung Pao chicken, it was just a wave of salty flavor masking a little bit of spiciness. The best tasting parts of the Kung Pao chicken dish were the carrots because the sweetness from the carrots offset the saltiness of the sauce.

The fried rice was just brown rice with a tiny amount of fried egg, and its dominant flavor was also saltiness. The egg roll was a vegetable egg roll and was the saltiest of the three items. The wrapper on the egg roll was also a little doughy.

The lunch was nothing special, and everything just tasted salty.

Bag of Foster Farms Tequila Lime Wings
Plate of Foster Farms Tequila Lime Wings

I decided to try the frozen Foster Farms Tequila Lime Chicken Wings from Costco as a quick, microwavable food to have on hand. They were pretty easy to warm up - the directions state to microwave 8 wings on high for 7-9 minutes from frozen (basically 1 minute per chicken wing), so I microwaved 6 wings for 6 minutes.

The Tequila Lime Chicken Wings tasted pretty good. They had a faint citrus lime taste, but the dominant flavor is a savory, almost peppery taste. I have never had tequila, but maybe the pepper taste is from the tequila? The chicken wings were also a little bit sticky from the glaze, but not super sticky like honey BBQ wings, and they also weren't super saucy like buffalo wings.

Overall, it's a nicely balanced chicken snack.
