Linda's Fudge Cake from Cheesecake Factory

After our dinner at Cheesecake Factory, we were pretty full, but we still decided to try a dessert. I don't like cheesecake, but I do love chocolate cake, so we decided to try Linda's Fudge Cake (that's what they call it on the menu -- we didn't take the cake away from someone named Linda).

The slice of chocolate fudge cake we got was huge! We shared it with a third person and still didn't even make a dent in the cake.

The cake was super rich and chocolate-y and very filling. My favorite part of the cake was the chocolate chips that were on the frosting. It was pretty good, but I think it ended up being too rich and filling for me.

Fish N Chips from Cheesecake Factory

I went to the Cheesecake Factory for the first time, and I shared their fish and chips with my boyfriend. The platter was large, as most dishes at the Cheesecake factory seem to be pretty big.

The fish and chips were nice and crispy and weren't mushy at all, but the fish was a little bland. I mostly care about the breading when I have fish and chips, so it was still good to me. The coleslaw was the sweet kind which I like, but the sauce was a little heavy. The french fries on the side were also crisp, but they were nothing special and tasted a little bit stale.

Firebirds Mixed Green Salad with Chicken

I went to Firebirds, and I tried a mixed green salad with wood grilled chicken added to it.

The grilled chicken on the salad was delicious. It was very well seasoned, and it tasted great. The chicken was also tender and juicy and not dry at all.

The salad came with lettuce, diced tomatoes, sugar roasted pecans, and jicama. I usually ask for dressing on the side with my salad, but this time I forgot to, and the salad came too overdressed with the cilantro-lime vinaigrette. It started out tasting OK, but after eating the salad for a while, it became soggy, and the sweet, limey taste was overpowering. I liked the taste of the dressing, however, there was just way too much of it. Next time, I will definitely not forget to ask for the dressing on the side.
