Box of Nuevo Grille Street Tacos

Inside of Nuevo Grille Street Taco

The heating instructions on the box for these tacos are fairly straightforward: take a taco out of the bag, put it on a microwave-safe plate, microwave it on HIGH for 45 - 60 seconds, and let it stand for 1 minute. The tacos are a little small, so you might want to microwave more than one at a time. The more tacos you microwave on a plate, the longer you'll need to microwave them.

The tortilla on these street tacos from Costco was a soft corn tortilla, and the shredded pork on the inside was a little too salty for me. It was also pretty greasy. When I bit into it, it just dripped grease.

Overall, it was OK, but it wasn't that great. It was like your typical, inexpensive street taco.

Box of Crazy Cuizine Korean BBQ Chicken
Crazy Cuizine Korean BBQ Chicken

When we were at Costco, we saw the frozen Korean (inspired) BBQ (recipe) chicken and decided to try some. The box came with 2 bags of the chicken and 2 bags of the BBQ sauce.

This is how trying the chicken played out:

First bite: "This doesn't taste Korean, tastes more like generic American Asian. The chicken texture also feels kind of like... shrimp?"

Next couple of bites: "This isn't very spicy, but it tastes all right."

Final bites: "It's a little spicier with more of the sauce... but it is way too sweet... I'm not going to get this again."

So it basically just tastes like other microwavable Asian foods that are too sweet, and the taste gets tiring after a few bite.. and I won't be buying these again.

Box of Pierre Signatures Grilled Chicken Sandwich
Pierre Signatures Grilled Chicken Sandwich

The frozen Pierre Signatures chicken sandwich was a little sweet and seemed like it was sweetened with teriyaki or something. The chicken patty was a little spongy and didn't really feel like chicken.

It ended up being a little sweet for me, which was a little disappointing since the box just states "Flame-broiled Chicken Breast Patty on a Sesame Seed Bun" and didn't have anything on the front that indicated it's a sweet sandwich. It seems like a lot of times when I get chicken things, they end up being sweeter than expected. So, I would have preferred a more savory chicken sandwich, but it was OK.

However, my boyfriend really likes these sandwiches.... especially with an added slice of black forest ham and exactly three Mt. Olive sweet bread and butter pickles on them.
