Baked Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value Crinkle Cut Sweet Potato Fries

I'm not really a fan of crinkle cut sweet potato fries, but my boyfriend's mom bought some for us from Whole Foods. We baked the entire frozen sweet potato fries bag following the instructions on the back of the package.

The crinkle cut sweet potato fries were mostly bland and tasted like regular potato fries with a hint of sweet potato. One good thing was that they were fairly crisp and weren't super mushy like other frozen crinkle cut fries. While I liked that they weren't overwhelmingly sweet, I still would have preferred a little more sweetness / sweet potato flavor.

Fish N Chips from Cheesecake Factory

I went to the Cheesecake Factory for the first time, and I shared their fish and chips with my boyfriend. The platter was large, as most dishes at the Cheesecake factory seem to be pretty big.

The fish and chips were nice and crispy and weren't mushy at all, but the fish was a little bland. I mostly care about the breading when I have fish and chips, so it was still good to me. The coleslaw was the sweet kind which I like, but the sauce was a little heavy. The french fries on the side were also crisp, but they were nothing special and tasted a little bit stale.

Freddy's Steakburger
Freddy's Steakburger French Fries

Since Freddy's Steakburgers just opened near where I live a few months ago, I decided to go ahead and try it. I ordered a #1 combo meal with cheese, which was the Freddy's Original Double with fries & a drink (Pepsi).

I ordered the burger with no mustard, so it came with just cheese, onion, and pickle. The burger was pretty good. The meat was thin and crispy on the edges. The edges had a sort of salty & burnt taste, but not in a bad way. The pickles were a little bit too salty for me, so I ended up taking one off. Once there was less pickle on the burger, it tasted delicious and not overly salty at all.

The bun was good and wasn't too soggy or crispy. According to Freddy's website, their buns are butter-toasted.

The Freddy's french fries came in a nice cup, which was overflowing with the fries. The fries very thin and crispy and not too salty, and they tasted pretty good.

Overall, both the burger and french fries were delicious. However, I still prefer the taste of a Five Guys burger and In-N-Out french fries to Freddy's.
