Box of Hormel Microwavable Bacon
Cooked Hormel Microwave Ready Bacon

After microwaving a "pouch" of four Hormel bacon strips following the instructions on the box, the bacon strips shrank down to almost half their original size, and they didn't turn out to be crispy at all. They kind of felt more like a thick cut bacon and were pretty chewy. So, they were super easy to make and tasted fine (just like bacon), but I would have preferred a crispier and less chewy texture. I would have also liked it if you didn't have to cook 4 bacon slices at a time.

Bag of Foster Farms Tequila Lime Wings
Plate of Foster Farms Tequila Lime Wings

I decided to try the frozen Foster Farms Tequila Lime Chicken Wings from Costco as a quick, microwavable food to have on hand. They were pretty easy to warm up - the directions state to microwave 8 wings on high for 7-9 minutes from frozen (basically 1 minute per chicken wing), so I microwaved 6 wings for 6 minutes.

The Tequila Lime Chicken Wings tasted pretty good. They had a faint citrus lime taste, but the dominant flavor is a savory, almost peppery taste. I have never had tequila, but maybe the pepper taste is from the tequila? The chicken wings were also a little bit sticky from the glaze, but not super sticky like honey BBQ wings, and they also weren't super saucy like buffalo wings.

Overall, it's a nicely balanced chicken snack.

Kirkland Signature Calcium Chew unwrapped

I have been looking for a calcium supplement to take, and I decided to try Costco's Kirkland Signature chocolate flavored soft chews.

When I first tried a Kirkland Signature calcium chew, it wasn't too bad (at least not as bad as some chews I have tried in the past). They tasted OK considering they are a calcium supplement + vitamins D and K. They were pretty chewy and didn't really taste like chocolate. They basically tasted like Tootsie Rolls, except they are creamier and softer. So, they weren't really disgusting, but they weren't delicious, either (maybe because I don't really like Tootsie Rolls much).

However, when I started eating them on a daily basis, they became increasingly gross to me, and I couldn't eat them any more. They went from tasting OK to "blegh" pretty quickly.
