Plate of Trader Joe's Unsalted Sardines in Spring Water

My boyfriend's mom has been buying Trader Joe's Spring Water Sardines for years, and I finally decided to try some. I haven't had any sardines for several years so I don't really have anything to compare them to. All I remember is that the sardines my mom bought when I was younger were all extremely salty.

So starting off... the Trader Joe's sardines were not super salty, which was good (especially since they are advertised as "unsalted"). They mainly tasted fishy to me and not in a bad way. I didn't eat them all mushed up or in mayo or olive oil, etc. I just ate them plain in their original form with some lettuce, and they were still tasty. However, they were a little dry on the inside or else they would have been perfect.

Tub of Pub Cheese from Trader Joe's
Pub Cheese from Trader Joe's

Last time we went to Trader Joe's, we decided to try a spreadable cheese. The Sharp Cheddar Pub Cheese (aka Pug Cheese) jumped off the shelf. Some other spreadable cheeses have mayonnaise, but this didn't have any, which was good. I'm not usually a big fan of spreadable cheeses, but this Pub Cheese had a nice cheddar cheese taste that wasn't weird or too salty, and it was delicious!

I had some with bread, but it's delicious enough to eat by itself directly from the tub. We finished the whole tub in about a week... so we just bought some more. Too bad the Pub Cheese doesn't come in a bigger container :(

Cooked Trader Jose's Cheese Enchiladas from Trader Joe's

These cheese enchiladas from Trader Joe's were great for when I was craving Mexican food. I don't like beans so I was happy that Trader Joe's had enchiladas without beans. One package comes with two enchiladas in a rectangular container. I followed the microwave instructions and punctured the plastic with a fork & microwaved the package for 9 minutes.

The tortilla was soft and slightly chewy, and the overall taste was a very savory chile flavor with a little bit of tang. It also wasn't very spicy, but it tasted delicious.
